Wedding accessories for the bride.

Weddings are still the favorite event of all. While the bride may have her own ideas of how to accessorize, etiquette has it’s own rules. There are some things a bride should never wear or carry, and some things that make the bride feel special.Today, brides have so many choices with their accessorizing, as colors have become more common, and flowers may be silk or real. Meals may be buffet style or set, and any time of day is good! Let’s start with the flowers.Choosing flowers is a very personal thing. Most brides are torn, should they have silk, to last and use forever, or real, where they look and smell so good, but only last a few days?
Whichever is chosen, stick with one color to accessorize. Too may colors may take the simplicity away. If your theme is lavender, use flowers in pale lavender, and a slightly darker color, keeping the theme. Use the same colors in the wedding flowers at the church or the reception. Mix with white or ivory blooms to pad out the design.

Pumps are the best for brides with full skirts and long trains, preferably with a small heel and no adornment. For brides with a simple dress, short or ankle length, sandals or peep toe shoes are acceptable. Remember this when out looking for the accessories.
Jewelry is usually simple. Pearls are among the most popular accessories for brides today; the timeless look is simple, and ethereal. Too much of anything detracts from the overall look.
Very often the bride will want to follow the “something borrowed, blue, old, new”. A good choice here is to incorporate the jewelry into that. Something borrowed might be a handkerchief or a prayer book. Blue could be the garter, and old is the pearls from a relative. The new item? Well, how about the dress?
